How does Pausely work?
Pausely turns time away from your phone into something you can watch grow. The less you use your phone, the healthier your virtual tree becomes.
As you cut down on screen time you earn Growth Points and build daily streaks — small, satisfying rewards that make building healthier phone habits feel encouraging rather than restrictive.
Why does Pausely need Screen Time permission, and how do I enable it?
Pausely uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) to measure how much you use your phone. That's what lets it calculate your tree's health, your Growth Points, and your insights — and it's all processed privately on your device.
When you first open Pausely, you'll be prompted to grant access — just tap Allow. If you skipped it, you can turn it on anytime from within the app when prompted, or in your device Settings → Screen Time.
My usage data or insights aren't showing.
If your tree or insights look empty, try these steps:
- Make sure Screen Time access is granted (Settings → Screen Time).
- Fully close Pausely and reopen it.
- Give it a moment — usage data can take a little time to load, especially right after you grant permission.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Pausely Pro is billed through your Apple Account, so you manage it in iOS Settings rather than inside the app:
- Open Settings → tap your name (Apple Account) → Subscriptions → Pausely.
You can cancel anytime. You'll keep Pro until the end of the current billing period, and you won't be charged again as long as you cancel before it renews.
How do I restore my subscription on a new device?
Sign in with the same Apple Account you used to subscribe, open Pausely, and on the paywall tap “Restore Purchases.” Your Pausely Pro access will be restored right away — there's no separate account or password to remember.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Pausely works with no account, no sign-up, and no login. Just open the app and start growing your tree.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your Screen Time data is processed on your device to power your tree and insights. It's never sold and never used for ads, and Pausely doesn't track you across other apps or websites. There are no ads and no third-party ad tracking.
